A Blast from the PAST ! ! !

Now this part of the forum has nothing to do with business or the CompuByte .Net Pos Software it’s ummmm a personal rambling.

I took a short deserved holiday (so I think ) on a cruise to nowhere ; I decided No cell phone; No internet; No support, No clients and yes NO PROGRAMMING ; just plain relaxing . .

Items on board :- A pair of shorts ; Some books to read :-

A bevy of Jodi Piccoult’s books.

Six glorious days go by and I have read all the’m books now I have withdrawals symptoms on the seventh day ; I need to program ; just have toooo program . . must program . .

Now I look back at all the promises I made ; I will not do business; i will relax . yada yada yada fishpaste . . like a addict looking for an excuse . . I find one . .

I had told a grand nephew of mine (yeh ! that’s my nieces kid whose now a man) that I will write a program just for him so I am gonna do just that. . . But what program do I write ; Yusuf Talia(my grand nephew) has muscular dystrophy ; his illness was discovered when he was still a young boy and that’s when I said I will write a proggy just for him . . Now his a man and a cum'luade Commerce student (BCom) at Wits (and an active elected member of the SRC there) and I have still not done so!

I never play computer games the only one I ever played was one when the first PC’s rolled out in them dawning days of computing; it was Yusuf’s dad Nazeer who got me hooked on to Tetris ; a simple drop them bricks game . . So I re-wrote this game with all the things the original game never had ; within three hours and a few minutes I was happy with the code. . Yeh ! enough time spent for for Renat’e to tolerate me ; being infront of a PC when I was to suppose to give her some quality pempering *hehe* woman. .

As for the catalogue you sent you can use a catalgue for clothing just by inserting the same catalogue details into the catalogue field and you could get a catalgue as well as by setting parameter 274 (just insert a one) and your reports will be catorgrised by category (ie catalogue) and also be searchable by this catalogue

That was only my second attempt. My 7 year old daughter insisted i stop so she could have a turn. Hang on to that handheld scanner. i need to beat this score 7 more times so that you can give me a WIRELESS handheld scanner.

As far as Renate's score is concerned, just code her into 1st place. We will fight for second.

With a score that high YOU must have been practicing before . . You disqualified ; you have to be a first time user ..

Just kidd'in you do still win the prize ; but to gain any more prizes you have to beat someone else score and yeh ! you have to be someone registered on the forum and from an IP not from Cape Town or Pretoria . . *hehehe* and your daughter, wife next of kin family or freinds (all zillion of them) not allowed . .
